Here's an update on this... It turns out the issue is not simply a limit of 1024 bytes of print data. As a matter of fact you can print a simple string of data much longer than that successfully. Comet sends it over to CosP in chunks of 1024 until it's done.
The problem here is use of the mnemonic. I think the problem is the first chunk of data sent over includes the DrawText mnemonic parameters as well as the first part of the data. Subsequent chunks are sent as simple text. CosP doesn't see them as being part of the DrawText. We are still studying this to figure out what to do.
