For me, cosCtlText$ is still an annoyance in two areas.

1) using a text control for comments and such beyond 252. "BIGTEXT" works but is a cumbersome and lengthy workaround.

2) COS.ListGetSelCount limits the number of selections because the returned list of selections is limited by cosCtlText$
