Preserve fomatting

"BIGTEXT" has a "preserve formatting" command that I copied into a Comet16 program to handle a text field over 252 characters via a work file (LoadControl/StoreControl). Seems to work in C16 and C32. See soft-1.jpg.

Now I'm working on a C32 program where I bypass LoadControl/StoreControl and access the data (250 characters) directly.

But, the soft returns get changed from 0D0D0A to 200D0A. See soft-2.jpg.
