Microsoft Access Database

Hi, I need to connect to a Microsoft Access database from Comet.
I know with the ODBC it is possible. But the ODBC works on a Windows (32-bit). Just don't want to be stopped when it will connect from Windows (64-bit).

Is there another tool that would work ?
Is MySQL connecting to a Microsoft Access database ?
Will I have to setup a Comet session running as a service on a Windows (32-bit) waiting for jobs created by other session to connect with ODBC ?
