You might consider setting up an intermediate one user Comet system to do the conversion. About Comet2012. It'll take a while to crunch through 400k documents.

I've chosen PDF for almost all DocMgr documents. TXT is disappointing for windows printers but might be OK for green bar and other "RAW" printing.
