Your program can get events other than just the ones you want to handle. When you click maximize Windows fires an event to redraw the window. Your event handler should just ignore any events it doesn't want to handle. Based on the screenshot you sent me it looks like you've got a msgbox at the top of your EVENT handler that just displays the event text - of every event that fires. If you comment out the msgbox would you even know the redraw event occurred?
