Comet 32/16 question

I compile using Comet 2012 on a Vista 32 bit machine (I am not using the /32 Comet start up command). I have customers using Windows Server 2012 (64 bit) and Comet 2014. Those customers load Comet without the /32 command and they operate fine. My question is: are those Windows Server 2012 machines actually running 16 bit Comet programs or does Comet 2014 (without starting the /32 command) actually run as a 32 bit program?
