Well, this is weird but perhaps it was trying to open "CL" thinking it was the clock so it could get the time. Try doing a DSTAT of "CL1" on that computer. It's using the first 3 bytes returned as the name for the clock. When I do that on my computer I get "CL1", not "CL".
