What is program SS in the REL folder?

Updated customer to the latest and greatest a couple of weeks ago and now when the customer is running their month end programs instead of running SS in OBJ folder it is trying to run SS in the REL folder. What is it? For a quick fix can I just rename SS in the REL folder?
