SetFormat and StripFormat (maybe SIZEOF)

wiki says GetFormat and SetFormat (= PutFormat?????) was that the original name??

also I'm sure that I was either in Hospital or Rehab Centre last year in Juse when StripFormat was added & removed from IB

just sayin' I'd use this every time because I now manually do it to each element name

finally... I'd use a SIZEOF function to compute sizes and offsets from the current characteristics in the INCLUDE files...
