This Ransomware attack still leaves our no-extension Comet data files alone just as it does the .I00 key trees. However, this is the first time I've found that file QDIR.DIR was encrypted. This is a long-time customer, a long-time on the Q box! So they had many, many directories with lots of files in them. Probably 30 all told. Four hours later most everything is rebuilt.
My issue with CometEx not running had to do with COS not being rebuilt up to that point. I had REL and UTL but hadn't rebuilt COS. Once I did that CometEx worked.
