if you look at the key definition it's 0 for a length of 25 (00..24 yes?)
the insert statement has no KEY= statement
two questions:
1) the line number is right justified without a trailing minus in 7 digits
2) there is some kind of offsetting blank in column 25 (0 origin)

when I try to read this back in, I do a KEY( function, which is OK, but the INQUIRE with KEY= fails

this is the first time I've used embedded/extended key with a numeric part of the key

for the other extended keys I've converted to an alphabetic key element because the original separate key structure did so

my thoughts were perhaps that it's a trailing part of the key being numeric, but dunno....

any help would be greatly appreciated!
