Not sure exactly what the delay could be. At that point Comet is trying to login to CFAM for your local server. The delay might be dependent on whether the server is declared as type "C" or not (local single-user file servers do not have to be) or whether CFileSrv.exe is running as a service locally or not. If not, CFileSrv.exe would be started up from the Comet folder at that time.
