Only thing I can think of is an issue with the clock device. The old QREPORT does this:
CLOSE (CLOCK)
FILE$ = SUB(DSTAT('CL1',EXCP=9100),1,3) ! VARIABLE CLOCK NAME
OPEN (CLOCK) FILE$ EXCP=9100
The DSTAT should return the clock's name (CL1) and then open it. Don't understand why it would come back as CL.
