Is it really that slow on a local full Comet client? At startup it just populates the dialog with the most recent 100 documents by reading the catalog file in reverse. If there are more than 100 documents in the archive then you'll get the menu under the list control to select how many more docs you want to load. Obviously the more you choose the longer it will take. Are others seeing a big delay on the initial screen load?
