would it be possible to add this to DateTime:
a way to bypass DATE/DATE$ and use some other date either in:
Comet Serial Date format (7.0)
format of DATE/DATE$ (6.0)

also.. I've been getting more date input data in Oracle default format: %d-%b-%Y (e.g. 25-APR-2018)
maybe that might be added to the wish list for Date2Num and Num2Date and/or DateTime

a big job would be to replace Date2num and DateToNum with an input enabled DateTime

in the absence of (and with no pejorative implication) of a Date variable type:
comet date serial 20.12 with fraction of day given by the date
would it be possible to create an output format for TIME where it is either
sequential microseconds from midnight (12.0)
the number above as a 0.12 fraction of a day
