think I've fixed my problem, but don't know what I did before....
on my TEST system:
re-installed 515
unzipped all the latest REL, UTL, WDL
created a PASSWORD.txt file from PASSWORD on PROD system
manually copied the "new" passwords within the .TXT file
re-built the PASSWORD file (252/32)
now... everything seems to look like what Tom and Grant sent me
only problem is that I updated the .INI file, so now I've got two directories that can't be found
always good to know that I've still got items on my "to-do" list

P.S. only thing I can think is that I've noticed ERROR logs on TEST system showing re-boots when I sign on..... Saw this kind of thing years ago, where there were electric probs causing re-boots...... anyway, seem to have used "old-school" things to move forward
