Time sensitivity

Sometime after the November time change the domain controller stopped sync'ing with the time service and drifted about 1.75 minutes slow. the other servers and workstations drift with it.

It was noticed after the March time change but not reset at that time. Last Friday afternoon, it was reset to the correct time. As the servers and workstations reset themselves, Comet crashed on the workstations.

Because Comet crashes instead of shutting down gracefully, there is a lot of IT intervention to tidy up with Task Manager. cfam and cosc are the two most left over pieces.
