The name of the input file should have been displayed at the end of the "copydocs error 3 -- Could not open input file --" error message. For some reason the filename is blank or null. Assuming you are still testing with the program you posted the source for, I can see that you are actually writing something to the printer before closing it. So, please show us how this printer is configured in your Comet.ini file.
