Some of the IB commands have a flag that indicates if you want to do on the Host or Remote computer

CATEMP is not the only Comet folder that can reside on the host. Just add a new folder to the config file, initialize to create QDIR files. Add your file to the QDIR and then you can access in Comet.

If CometAnywhere Host and Client are visible to each other (on same network), yu can share the host directory as \\host\myShare\myFile.CSV or you can access the host as \\host\c$\...

You can use scripting on the host to add to the file.
