Actually, I can issue a non-fatal error. You won't be able to trap it with EXCP= but you could catch it with ERRORTO. This is similar to how you can get E50 (array subscript out of range) on a LET statement. I just tried it. It works. I'll issue E45 (invalid parameter). I think this is the best solution. :-)
