Barb,
SYSGEN will NOT open the INI if it is using a Windows Share. Edit just launches it, no problem.
SYSGEN behaves like all Comet programs, unable to open a file with a share. The painful solution, is to copy the file (dot-INI) to a local folder (TMP) and parse it there.
I have many programs that import files from non-Comet folders using network shares, they all have to copy the file locally, process it... Save the result in a local folder and then CopyFile to a shared location.
My client uses Network Shares to "hide" the server names, thus allowing the move of shared folders from server to server with no other changes in the setup.
I was going to post something about SYSGEN suggesting fixing it, but I do wonder if Comet is not the one needing a fix. If CopyFile can do it, why can't InputFile / PrintFile do it ? SYSGEN would benefit also...
Thanks
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
