Anyway... Robert's suggestion is technically correct. We just don't like to tell people to modify the registry if they don't have to. Instead, you can set a new Windows Environment variable called %COMETPROGS%. By default, it is set to %temp%, but you may set it to whatever you like. When Comet.exe starts up, it looks for that variable and if it's found it uses the designated path to create the registry entry. Otherwise it sets it to the path for %temp%.
So, I suppose you could just jump in and change the registry entry. I haven't tried it that way.
