OK I think I finally understand what you are saying. If so, I think it worked as intended. When you change the position of a field and it asks if you want to adjust the position of subsequent fields it's thinking that you are moving the entire record down - beginning with the field you chose. It's not thinking you made an error on one field and just want to correct that. Therefore "subsequent" refers to all the fields that were after it using the original position.
