If you're using the front end to the Reporter to build your report (as opposed to writing it directly in a text editor) you might find the tutorial video helpful. We made these well before the days of YouTube :-) I've included a link below. Then, if you use the front end, try looking at the generated report file (the .ibr file) to see if it did what you wanted. If you used CFILES to add it to the dictionary or did it thru an editor, I still find the best way for a programmer to debug reports is to look at the generated IB source for the report. If you add a SAVESOURCE command at the top of the Report spec (the .ibr) it will keep the source for you. Read the documentation for SAVESOURCE to find out where to look and what the file will be called.
