Have a customer moving to Office 365 but keeping Comet local. Old Server 2012 will be decommissioned. On Saturday (9/5) set up Comet on a new Win10 PC. Had these problems during setup.
1) Comet Services would error because there was no MFC90.DLL in C:\Comet Services. Look at old server and the laptop I brought along and neither had MFC90.DLL there. Found the DLL in C:\Windows\SysWow64 and copied it to C:\Comet Services. Comet Services worked and the two UI's came up.
2) Install of CometPDF required .NET 2.0. had to hunt that down. 2.0 required that 3.0 be installed too. This was a medium security level network so I didn't have to fight my way past firewalls. I use the old CometPDF because the BullZip updates have to be downloaded and installed in pieces when firewall security is high.
Both of these look like a more up to date install package is needed.
