There is a mechanism in place for Comet32 users to logout orphaned connections and return their system resources. This is accomplished using a client-to-server ping mechanism. It was originally introduced to prevent the Security Server from running out of licenses because users disconnected improperly. Thus it works at the full Comet node level, not for individual sessions. Later it was extended to the File Server to free up open files left by disconnected users. This requires Comet32 version .497 or higher and Comet Services version 16.0 or higher.
Each file can be a maximum of 1MB in length Uploaded files will be purged from the server on a regular basis.
