Hi Tom,

Over the years the Ultra Edit developers have moved their ini file name/location and configuration files multiple times, which breaks the installation program. I have not had a chance to update to the newest Ultra Edit version and rewrite the installation program to reflect their new configuration.

If you're so inclined, you should be able to manually install the UE tools, if you can parse out their configuration. I believe as of version 27, the ini file is called "UE.ini" and there are 2 folders, "volatile" and "tools", that house the different configuration settings. The tools are stored in a new file in the volatile folder called ue.vod in the [Tools] section. You should be able to open the CometUESetup.exe with winzip/7zip and see the ibdcontent folder. This has all of the bitmaps and config settings that get copied over.

I will see about getting the installer fixed.

Alternatively, Barb updated the installer to work for version 25 - maybe if there's a version 25 installer floating around out there...

As a completely different option - I started working on an extension for Microsoft's Visual Studio Code free editor to see if it could replace Ultra-Edit. I was able to get syntax highlighting and get basic IB compiling to work. If you're willing to try a new editor and mess with some settings, you could give that a try as well. The extension I made is here (https://github.com/JustinSigSys/internet-basic) and you'll have to download the visual studio code program. If there's interest, I could continue to develop this as well.
