Hey Robert,

I am unable to reproduce your described behavior. If X is defined as 16.0, I don't get any decimal places printed. If X is defined as 16.8, decimal places are always shown.

I've tried setting a string variable and printing the expression directly to the screen with the same results.

How are you defining X and X$? Also how are you verifying the string is set improperly? If you have example code I can try and diagnose what's happening further.
