I do not believe we are using SMB on any workstation.

Comet users do not access any files on the server. It all goes through the CometServer.

Comet works for every one since 1991.

Comet just randomly shuts down on a couple of stations. It is very random, but some more than others.

The un-expected shutdown or freeze of Comet often happen when Comet is actively being use or a very large I/O intensive program is running.


Happens on Windows 7 & 10 Pro with a physical Windows 2012 server running CometServe 23.0 and Domain.
