The parallel port must be on one of these addresses: 0378, 0278, 1278, or 1378 for it to be recognized by the security server. If you don't have a port at one of those addresses, you will need to use a USB dongle instead.
You will also need to install the required drivers for whichever dongle you end up using (parallel or USB). To do this, run the latest CometServerProducts installation program. The security server no longer supports passwords. If you are using them you will need to obtain a license certificate instead. Contact Twila for assistance with this.
