I just re-installed (read reformatted) my new workstation after having tons of problem with it (which I suspect was caused by the Novell 4.90 client).
Anyway...
I installed XP and SP2 BEFORE I tried running the Comet2004Workstation Setup.
When I run the setup, it brings the Welcome to Install Shield message, I click NEXT, it goes thru the motion and then Nothing !!
We tried this on another new station with SP2 and same result. Un-installing the SP2 did not solve the problem. We are trying to reformat one of the new systems without the SP2 to try again... We already know that installing SP2 AFTER the Comet2004Workstation setup is not a problem.
I tested this with version 337 and 340.
Is there a plan to get the install as a .MSI so we could deploy it using Active Directory?
In the meanwhile, is there a way to get a list of dlls that we need to register manually.
When I try to run Comet, COSH does not start and it times out. The logs show no error whatsoever. COSC and COSW do start (and terminate) together.
CometAnywhere however seems to work.
