E9F is used to indicate that the server thinks that the client asked for something it can't provide. In version 04.05 of CometServe we added a new circumstance under which to trap an erroneous client request. Perhaps you have fallen into this situation. The link below will give you a little more info. What version of Comet and CometServe are you running and how is the message being displayed?
