Thanks Brian,

I have added a text file printer using:
Printer = LPT,X,N,,TXT,EXTPTR,; It displays my report in notepad with a special character at the beginning of the print and at the end (the M and P from the @1B@M and @1B@P)

I can't see how to create the Printer entry so I would be prompted for a text file.

I have noticed that when we unspool a job from SP1 to LP1 a windows print job appears in the windows printer document list, but when we print directly to LP1 it does not happen that way.

Here are the pertinent printer and spooler configurations:
Printer = LP1,W ,N, ,Epson DFX-5000+:RAW,,;
Printer = LPT,X,N,,TXT,EXTPTR,;
Spool = SP1,\\DellServer\MISData\Comet\Comet\SPL\;

Thanks again,

roy
