I've never used that feature of UE before - it's pretty cool. I found that if I have a single period in my variables UE has no problems. If I have 2 periods UE chokes. I have already indicated in our syntax file (WORDFILE.TXT) that the period is not to be considered a delimter but UE seems to have a problem in this case. Is this consistant with your observations?.
