Your test program works. It works on our systems and at E&B. Our application program does not. It crashes with an error 99.
The application does not do the initial erase and create as yours does because we need to append to the file should it exist. Otherwise it would seem to be the same. The application works on our system in Comet 2004 with local directories
At E&B under CometServe32, when the application opens a text file that has a QDIR entry but no data file they get an error 99.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
