At present, Comet Workstation has a large 16 bit component. We may also use 16 bit installers. XAP currently runs in 16 bit mode. All other executables provided in the comet installs are 32 bit.
CometFileServe is 32 bit now, It should run fine in the 64 bit world.
I DO expect that some enterprising software guy somewhere will make a 16 bit interpreter that will run in the 64 bit Intel processor sometime soon.
Bottom line:
Don't expect the Comet workstation code to be free of 16 bit routines for a year or so. I would like to hear if anyone tries to install CometServe on a 64 bit machine.
