OK. Here's the deal. The user name displayed by DocMgr is what's SECURED by CMONITOR and QMONITOR at startup. This is dependent on whether you have one or both of IDFILE and a security file. Due to a bug that will be corrected in the .349 release of Comet, the contents of the user name field was truncated at the first blank. Since the IDFILE name value was the first part of the string (the user's name from the password file is the second part), if you didn't have an IDFILE, you got nothing, even if the user's name as recorded in the password file was there.

So, beginning in .349 you will see the user's name as it appears in the password file even if you don't have IDFILE.
