Checking in. Wasn't able to do much Comet stuff on Tuesday. On Wednesday set up another scrubbed clean Win2K wokstation. As local administrator installed 2004.246 to C: as a standalone workstation. Left the CFG path blank. Logged in as the domain user (has admin rights on local machine). Added /PN to shortcut (Comet.exe). Comet launched OK. Set up another shortcut (COSW.exe), from shared folder, added /PN. Comet launched OK.
Have one more Win2K to go. I'll try giving domain user the local admin rights and then see if the COSW.exe shortcut will work as it does with XP workstations or whether I have to install 2004.246 to the local machine to get things to work.
