The only odd part is that Comet is the only application we can find that causes this behavior?!? In fact if I copy in Comet, paste to notepad, copy from notepad and past to FMP7 there is no issue.
If you look at the 2 attached files you will note there is a differance.
test.clp is the clipboard when the copy is done from Comet.
test2.clp is the same text pasted into textpad and then copied to the clipboard and saved.
You will note that the Comet file is 8,469 bytes yet the textpad file is only 321.
Comet seems to put a significant amount of machine specific data into the clipboard, but perhaps the windows end text delimiter is not properly set up.
It looks like the sequence Hex 00 18 (NULL CAN) in the Textpad clipboard that properly delimits the text down.
Any ideas?
