Well, we are finally biting the bullet and retiring our 6 year old Novell server to a new super duper Windows Server.
I know that this is the right thing to do. We've been short on hard drive space for some time and speeds have been progressively getting slower. The server does not owe us anything, obviously.
My VAR is very good, the Kumquat guys, and my IT guys are doing wonders these days. But, has anyone done this kind of upgrade? It should be move the data to the new machine, redo the CFIG and go!
We have done extensive testing and so far the results have been excellent. We are adding AD to the mix also.
If you have any real world experiences, please let me here it. Comet runs our whole business and I just need to be absolutely sure.
