Comet File Access Method

I upgraded to Comet 2004 only to take the advantage of CFAM. However, it seems that I van't get it to work. As soon as I changed the full access permission to Read permission Comet crashes.
Can some one help me with step-by-step instruction setting up the Comet network folder permission on the Windows 2000 server?
