I took Mark's advice and found an Academic version for $95 + $20 freight on ebay. Which I bought, as a present, for my niece at San Diego State University. I had to join ebay and PayPal. Oh pooh, now I have to read all those phishing emails :)
Coincidentally or ironically (you chose), I attended a Microsoft TS2 seminar yesterday. Part of the handouts was a copy of the Mobile Application Development Toolkit. Which includes the VS 2003 60 day CD. So, with four PC's in the office and two CD's which have a two month trial period. I now have 16 (4*2*2) months of trial software.
