We just ran into the following problem. While upgrading a customer from Comet 2K4 to 2K5.

After installing the latest REL, UTL, etc directories we ran SECURITY to create file PASSWORD on directory SEC with a password of PDF. We gave access to directories REL, UTL, SEC and COS. When we exited the program and input the password only directory TMP came up. We re-installed the comet directories ran SECURITY again and created again created password PDF. Before we exited SECURITY, we merged the old password file into PASSWORD. We are able to log on with the old passwords but not with the new password PDF. When we examined PDF in SECURITY we found the directories were scambled. We are able to maintain the record and after doing so, it is fine. However, any new password created in SECURITY results in the directories being skewed. I did notice that when creating a new password there is a box for allowing access to DATA BASE Manager but not QMONITOR access. When I maintain the password, the box for QMONITOR access displays.
