What a scary thing. It took me two days to get up enough courage to try an un-install myself.
I un-installed the server products on my development machine (win2000 server). Well, everything went as expected. It did NOT un-install the MS dlls.
Needless to say, I am back up and running now after an un-install and subsequent install.
This is an install shield issue. We use install shield to make the installation files. The version we use is somewhat old, since it costs an arm and leg to purchase an upgrade.
It also may have something to do with the windows you are running (xp, I believe), but at least I can tell everyone else that the un-install I did worked fine.
