From a purely academic point of view, is it possible to write an application that will read and write to a .XLS file? We are currently making good use of the ODBC interface with Access but it would be nice to include spreadsheets as well. A lot of people maintain data in Excel that we use for pricing. We would like to be able to pull and push the data in Comet.
