As I understand it, CA transmits key strokes and screen updates which is why it can be fast over slow connections. Brian called it a thin client. All the disk I/O that is characteristic of our environment is done locally at the CometAnywhere host machine. Imagine, if you will, a very long cable from your keyboard and screen with the computer in another location.
Brian also suggested that you try it and I don't know how you would do that. You can run Comet in demo mode, but I don't know if CometAnywhere can be "tested." Perhaps Gina will address that.
There are some limitations with the new, jazzy windowy applications but I've not experienced them and am in no position to list them.
