Hi Gerry. UltraEdit is not a Signature product. It is nothing more than a programmer's editor we adopted because of its flexability. When you perform a compile the command is actually sent from the UE command tool to Comet where the IB compiler will compile it. If you compile the same program with the MTB program you should get exactly the same result. That being said, I don't see any difference in the two statements. The (SF) mnemonic doesn't put anything onto the screen, it merely establishes the attributes for the next screen character that comes along. Sorry I can't offer you any better analisys - there's just not enough to go on. If you want to make a small test program that demonstrates the problem I'd be happy to look at it.
