Badge - i've been on vsn 11.0 since Vegas. I noticed the greying issue and discovered that ultraedit goes grey at a point where I define a hex character (ie: "@7F@"). If that is the case, add a comment to that line of !" (that is a quote followed by either a single or double quote depending on how your hex character is defined) and your colors will return until the next time a hex character is defined.
