I did some more checking and Greg appears to have zeroed in on this one. My customer's DHCP has an 8 day lease. If memory serves, a renewal will happen at the 1/2 way point or every four days. I got her email on 9/4 at 11:45. Backtracking through DHCP indicates that her DHCP renewal would have been on the 4th at around 9:30. I could ask her how long after the error before she sent me the email. I was unable to find any 9B logged anywhere so I have nothing down to the minute.

FYI: The DHCP lease time can be found by running the DHCP console (MMC) and right clicking on Scope and selecting properties. Until a fix is ready maybe lengthing the lease can reduce the frequency of 9B's.
